RASM – Scholarships

ROBERT ANDERSON SCHOLARSHIP

The Robert Anderson Scholarship is available for all members of Mt. Pleasant who wish to pursue their education at a college or university, business school, trade school, nursing school, culinary school, or seminary.  First-time recipients of the scholarship receive $1,000.  Members who have previously received the scholarship receive $500.  Members may receive the scholarship every fall and spring semester as long as they are in college up to the PhD level and maintain a grade point average of 2.0.  The deadline for applying for a Robert Anderson Scholarship is July 1, 2025.    

MICHAEL D. LAMBERT SCHOLARSHIP

The Michael D. Lambert Scholarship is for high school students who will attend a culinary arts institute or school.  Scholarships are also awarded to cover the cost of tutoring for students with special needs.  Students can receive $500 towards their tuition.  The deadline for applying for a Michael D. Lambert Scholarship is July 1, 2025.   

EUNICE B. TYSON SCHOLARSHIP

The Eunice B. Tyson Scholarship is for high school students who will attend an accredited 4-year college or university full-time for the 2025 fall semester.  High school students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher in grades 9 through 12 to qualify for the scholarship.  High school students who qualify for the scholarship receive $1,000.  The deadline for applying for the Eunice B. Tyson Scholarship is July 1, 2025.   

HATTIE GRANDISON WASHINGTON SCHOLARSHIP

The Hattie Grandison Washington Scholarship is for high school students who will attend Virginia State University or the University of the District of Columbia.  Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.20 to 2.9 or more in the 12th grade.  A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to 2 students.  The deadline for applying for the Hattie Grandison Washington Scholarship is July 1, 2025.   

HIGHER ACHIEVER SCHOLARSHIP

The Higher Achiever scholarship is for high school students who will attend an accredited 4-year college or university full-time for the 2025 fall semester.  The student must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 to 4.0 in high school to qualify for the scholarship.  The $10,000 scholarship is paid before the beginning of each fall semester over 4 years in equal installments of $2,500.  To continue to qualify for the scholarship, the student must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in college.  The deadline for applying for the Higher Achiever Scholarship is July 15, 2025.    

Applications for the above scholarships may be obtained from the church office.

Any application that is not postmarked by or received in the church office by the deadline date will not be considered.  Applications may also be emailed to barbaratg23@hotmail.com by the deadline date.  The Robert Anderson Scholarship Ministry does not consider late applications.
